Grants

United Way of the Midlands currently supports the work of our partner agencies three different ways: competitive funding, non-competitive funding and donor designations. Competitive funding supports programs that target specific outcomes identified by Community Councils as important for improving the community. Non-competitive funding is support that was awarded to agencies before United Way of the Midlands created the Community Council process for allocating funds. Non-competitive funding will continue on a diminishing basis to partner agencies through 2008.
