2007-2008 United Way of the Midlands

Campaign Chairs

Mary Kennemur and Steve Morrison
"We know the success of this Community Campaign requires more than our agreement to chair the campaign—we also need you and your employees to say 'Yes.' Say 'Yes' when a community volunteer asks for your personal contribution and visible support. Say 'Yes' to encouraging your employees to support United Way as volunteers and as donors.

"We all have a stake in the health of this community—our children, our neighbors, coworkers and businesses. The consequences of hunger, homelessness, school dropouts and violence are felt by everyone.

"Thank you in advance for being part of the United Way process. By investing and directing resources toward root causes of community problems, we make certain your support produces lasting change."

Workplace Campaigns are the primary source of funds for United Way of the Midlands. Over 75% of the dollars raised each year come from employees and retirees who contribute generously to make our community a better place to live, work and raise our families.

We appreciate the committed and dedicated volunteer Employee Campaign Coordinators who take time to help make a difference on our team. Their role in our United Way campaign is crucial.

Throughout the campaign, companies have the support of United Way staff, campaign representatives and volunteers. They are all available to provide the resources to make your campaign successful. Have a look through the "campaign toolkit" section of our website—it was created just for you. We hope that you will find helpful ideas, tools and materials to make your job easier.
