2011 Homeless One-Day Count

Results from the 2011 Homeless One-Day Count have been released! 

United Way of the Midlands assists with this local 'count' of homelessness every two years to better determine the extent and experience of homelessness.

Some highlights from the report:

• Homelessness increased in the Midlands by 17%
• 16% of the overall homeless population was under the age of 18
• The homless population reports as 68.7% male and 30.8% female
