Volunteer Awards
THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS!
Every day people in the Midlands are reaching out a hand to help their neighbors who need it the most and those people that give their time, talents and energy rarely receive the recognition they deserve for their genuine dedication to making the community a better place. United Way of the Midlands helps connect these people to valuable opportunities through Days of Action and with Certified Partner Agencies.
One time a year, United Way of the Midlands recognizes a few outstanding citizens who have been instrumental in improving the lives of people in the Midlands through volunteerism. A total of nine awards are given in three separate categories—one Alyce Kemp DeWitt award and this year two LIVE UNITED awards and seven Community Impact awards.
On April 14, 2011 United Way of the Midlands recognized 8 outstanding volunteers at a small ceremony at Edventure Children's Museum.
