Sponsorship Opportunities

United Way of the Midlands is committed to making lasting change in the Midlands. We invite your company to be a sponsor of that change.  Click here to view and print our sponsorship packet.

All Signature Sponsorships include:
-Logo on event e-marketing Logo on printed invitations and other pre-event printed pieces
-Logo on event signage
-Logo on signature event and partners’ pages on uway.org and in annual report
-Public recognition from the podium during the event

Volunteer Center Sponsorship - $12,500

Providing hands-on opportunities to serve the community inspired many people to find even more ways to becoming involved in making the Midlands a stronger region. In the past year, the Volunteer Center has connected 2,169 area residents to these opportunities. The 13,507 hours of work completed from these individuals, families and groups were valued at over $277,704. Sponsorship of the Volunteer Center allows us to thank donors while generating positive recognition of your company in the community.
 
Benefits include:
• Company logo on all LIVE UNITED t-shirts distributed at volunteer days (estimated at 2,000 shirts) 
• Company logo on all registration forms, completed by all volunteers and on brochures distributed to workplace campaigns
• Logo on the banner displayed at each Day of Action central location

Humanitarian of the Year - $10,000

Since 1984, United Way of the Midlands has celebrated extraordinary leadership in philanthropy and human services with the Humanitarian of the Year Award. The black tie dinner is attended by more than 400 people each year and is held in late February.
 
Benefits include:
• Company logo on printed invitations sent to over 2,000 leadership donors
• Reserved table of (8) for dinner • Visibility and exposure to dozens of Midlands community leaders • Logo on program for the evening
• Logo on advertisement in The State newspaper saluting the Humanitarian of the Year
• Opportunity to make short remarks during the evening

Campaign Events - $5,000

There are hundreds of volunteers and more than 400 companies involved in the fundraising efforts of United Way of the Midlands. Keeping these important people informed and excited about their efforts to raise funds to improve the quality of life in the Midlands is an ongoing process.
 
There are two events planned to salute and celebrate their efforts:
1) Campaign Kickoff in the fall
2) Campaign Finale in January/February
 
Benefits include:
• Company logo on all materials associated with the campaign kickoff or finale
• Reserved seating at sponsored event when appropriate
• Opportunity to make short remarks at sponsored event
• Reserved table of 8 for the Humanitarian of the Year dinner
• 4 tickets to all YLS events including Cocktails & Conversations, Oyster Roast, Breakfast with Leaders and Lunch with Leaders
• Logo on advertisement in The State newspaper recognizing campaign results
• Scholarship for one employee to attend Blueprint for Leadership

Young Leaders Society - $5,000

The Young Leaders Society (YLS) unites young, energetic, community-minded individuals ages 21-45. YLS programs give members the opportunity to meet other like-minded civic and business leaders. Professional development events like the Learning with Leaders series and seminars are held throughout the year. Cocktails and Conversations is hosted annually by the Tocqueville Society and provides young leaders a chance to become acquainted with Columbia’s prominent philanthropists. Social and networking events are also held several times a year.
 
Benefits include:
• Company logo on all YLS materials including YLS brochure, signage at all YLS events and on all electronic communications to YLS members
• Reserved table of 8 for the Humanitarian of the Year dinner
• 8 tickets to all YLS events including Cocktails & Conversations, Oyster Roast, Breakfast with Leaders and Lunch with Leaders
• Scholarship for one employee to attend Blueprint for Leadership

Blueprint for Leadership - $5,000

Blueprint for Leadership is a professional development course targeting future community leaders. The program prepares diverse groups of individuals for volunteer service in the nonprofit sector. The course meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month beginning in mid-February and ending with graduation in June. Upon completion of the program, United Way of the Midlands works to place Blueprint graduates in the community. Sponsorship of specific Blueprint for Leadership components, such as the luncheon, is also available.
 
Benefits include:
• Company logo on all electronic and printed materials promoting Blueprint for Leadership
• Opportunity to make short remarks at opening session and graduation
• Scholarship for one employee to attend Blueprint for Leadership
• Scholarship for one non-profit board member to attend Blueprint for Leadership

Gold Level Sponsorship - $5,000 

Events:
• Reserved table for 8 at Humanitarian of the Year dinner • Four (4) tickets to YLS Professional Development Programs and other YLS events including Cocktails & Conversations, Oyster Roast, Breakfast with Leaders and Lunch with Leaders
