The mission of United Way of the Midlands is simple: We unite people and resources to improve the quality of life in the Midlands.

VISION
United Way of the Midlands will be the collaborator and trusted community problem solver. In that role, we will work to understand the needs of our community and then put programs in place to address those needs.

About Us
We work to determine and respond to the critical human service needs of the community. Community volunteers in three councils focused on EducationFinancial Stability and Health develop and review a community-wide needs assessment to determine key issues in the community.
 
Based on priorities, opportunities and resources, the councils offer competitive grants to partner agencies who best address the need. Occasionally, United Way of the Midlands sponsors initiatives to implement large scale solutions. Funds are raised through a workplace campaign, grant writing and private, individual donations. Our work is achieved by a four-part process:
