United Way of the Midlands has been working for more than 100 years to make our community better for everyone, especially those in need. 

To continue this success for generations to come, United Way of the Midlands provides Blueprint for Leadership, a professional development course targeting future community leaders. The program prepares diverse groups of individuals for volunteer service in the nonprofit sector.

Blueprint features a structured, progressive curriculum combined with practical, hands-on learning experiences that prepare participants for meaningful nonprofit leadership.

Graduates gain the knowledge and confidence needed to serve effectively on nonprofit boards and in community leadership roles.

Upon completion of the program, United Way works to help connect Blueprint graduates with volunteer and board leadership opportunities throughout the community.

Blueprint is uniquely designed with a specific emphasis on local nonprofits.

Cost:

Per person cost for the entire 8-week class: 

  • Corporate sponsorship: $900 
  • Government/nonprofit sponsorship: $450 

Tuition must be submitted before the first class.
