United Way’s SBA hosts 2020 Driving Down Main Virtual Golf Tournament

Columbia, S.C. (December 29, 2020)United Way’s Small Business Alliance (SBA) will host its third annual Driving Down Main: Staying the Course on February 8-9, 2021, sponsored by Enterprise Holdings.

Registered foursomes will virtually play 9-holes at Main Course SC on the back nine of Pinehurst Country Club #2 Golf Course. Tee times start at 8 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. with a maximum of 72 teams with 30-minute staggered times. Players will have two hours to complete each round. The annual event is a way for small business owners and other community-minded professionals to enjoy a friendly game of golf on a world-renowned course while networking and learning more about United Way and SBA.

“We are looking forward to this year’s annual Driving Down Main tournament and the opportunity for local small businesses to give back to our community again,” said Zach Minton, K2 Tech, president. “This is also a chance to highlight the importance of small businesses and to give us an avenue to express our gratitude to organizations and individuals who have helped us with everything that has gone on this year.”

Investments made in United Way of the Midlands support programs to reduce homelessness, ensure our students are reading on grade level and provide eye and dental services for adults and children who are uninsured or underinsured.
