Delta Dental of South Carolina awards $34,000 in oral health grants to aid individuals in need
Columbia, S.C. (January 11, 2021) – Delta Dental of South Carolina, a leading dental benefits provider and non-profit organization, recently awarded United Way’s WellPartners Dental and Eye Clinics with a $34,000 grant for personal protective equipment for staff and patients, as well as X-Ray equipment.
WellPartners offers dental and eye care services that provide preventative and restorative care to uninsured and underinsured children and adults in the Midlands. WellPartners is owned and operated by United Way of the Midlands with primary support from community partners, including Lexington County, Lexington Medical Center, Prisma Health and Richland County.
"With Delta Dental of South Carolina’s grant, we’ll be able to continue to help patients access oral care safely and have the patient experience our community deserves,” said Tamara Stockton, DDS, MAGD.
Given the many effects of the pandemic on organizations and individuals in the past year, WellPartners has seen an increase in the need for its services and resources. The grant from Delta Dental of South Carolina will also help clinicians stay safe while treating patients.
